NEWS UPDATE AS OF 17/05/2021 – A gentle re-opening of our Space
As we now enter Stage 3 of the Government’s roadmap, we are really excited to finally be able to open our doors for in-person classes again and over the next few weeks we will be starting a gentle phased return to in-person classes, so that we make sure that we all feel safe and happy to come and practice together again as we monitor the ongoing situation with regards to Covid-19.
We are here to support your practice and feel that it is important to move gently as we move forwards over the next few months. In response to all the feedback that we have had from everyone, and in order to offer different ways to hold a space for you all to practice, will be continuing with a small schedule of live streamed classes each week, alongside slowly introducing more in-person classes. We will also be evolving our online platform and are really excited about sharing the growing library of resources and wonderful guest teachers with you.
Take your time. It is important that you feel safe and comfortable in whatever practice environment you choose.
Your safety and that of our teachers is our priority at this time, and we are following government guidelines and best practice recommendations from our professional bodies in order to maintain a clean and safe practice space for us all.
With current social distancing measures still in place, we can only accommodate very small groups at our Space, and so we are also holding some classes at the lovely village hall. Please check the venue details for any in-person classes that you book.
Please read through the Covid-19 protocols for in-person classes which you can see below here and on each of the individual class descriptions when booking a space.
Do get in touch if you have any questions or requests for specific classes or times that you would like us to add to our schedule of weekly offerings.
Class Prices Information can be found on the Class Schedule page.
Thank you all for your wonderful ongoing support

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR IN-PERSON CLASSES
HOW WE ARE MINIMISING THE RISKS FROM COVID-19
Your safety and that of our teachers is our priority at this time, and we are following government guidelines and best practice recommendations from our professional bodies in order to maintain a clean and safe practice space for us all.
Thank you for following with these protocols when you come to class, as we work together as a community to keep one another as safe as possible.
*As an additional measure, In the light of current higher case rates of covid-19 across the country, and in the spirit of making sure that we hold as safe a space as possible, we are also kindly recommending that anyone attending any of our workshops, events or retreats do a lateral flow test, if this is possible, before coming along.
Thank you for following these protocols when you come to our practice space, as we work together as a community to keep one another safe.
1. Classes at the Space will be limited to smaller groups for the time being.
2. All class, workshop and event bookings must be made in advance via our class booking system or the Mindbody App (or via email).
3. Please do not come to a class or event if you feel unwell or if you currently have any symptoms of Covid-19, or if you (or anyone in your household) has tested positive within the last 10 days.
4. Please arrive between 10 and 15 minutes before the session start time (no earlier or later) so that we can allow space and time for everyone to enter the venue and prepare for the class. Please wait outside the venue until asked to come in and be mindful of other people’s space where reasonably possible.
* In order to maintain a safe practice space for everyone, there will be no late admittance to the sessions.
5. Please wait to be shown where to place your mat by the class teacher.
7. We are minimizing the sharing of mats and soft props as much as possible, and kindly ask that you bring your own mats and any soft props such as blankets that you need for your practice if you are able to do so. We have plenty of blocks and other props here for you to use and these will be cleaned in-between sessions. Please let us know if you do not have your own mat and we can supply one for you.
8. Please make sure that your mat is cleaned before and after practice. We will provide mat cleaner and cloths for you to use.
9. We will provide hand sanitiser at the entrance to our venue and in the bathroom area for you to use.
10. Face coverings do not need to be worn during practice but please feel free to wear one when entering and leaving the venue if you feel more comfortable.
11. Please allow space for others when entering and exiting the venue, so as to minimise social contact where reasonably possible.
12. Windows at the venue will be left open, where reasonably possible, to ensure adequate ventilation before, during and after each class or event.
13. The shower at the venue will be out of action at this time and until further notice. We also kindly ask that you change at home, before and after class, wherever possible, to minimise the use of the bathrooms.
14. We will continue to implement a regular cleaning schedule for the venue. In addition, the floor area and any handles and surfaces will be cleaned before and after each class or event.
15. Please notify us immediately if you have attended a class and subsequently test positive for Covid-19 within seven days of the session, so that we can take appropriate action to let others know and undertake a deep clean of the venue.
We will abide by any legal requirements or Government regulation regarding Covid-19 and will take account of any advice or guidance issued for leisure venues. This may necessitate the amendment to this protocol, especially if there is a local outbreak. This protocol should be read in conjunction with Government Regulations currently in place for Studland and as this may change at short notice.Thank you for your understanding and co-operation.

NEWS UPDATE AS OF 15/09/2020 – Information on existing class passes from before lockdown.
Thank you so much to all of you who have continued to support our little yoga space and community. Thank you for all the feedback too, which is invaluable as we navigate the way forwards over the coming weeks and months.
All the passes that were frozen when we had to close our doors in March will still be valid for when we restart our in-person classes but we aware that at present we don’t know when this will be so please get in touch if you would prefer a refund or would like to use them as a credit towards a new online class pass, and we will organise this straight away for you.
We are committed to making our classes and events as accessible as possible to anyone who would like to join them. Yoga, breath and movement practices are incredible tools for wellbeing and shouldn’t be exclusive to only those that can afford them.
We are also aware of how devastating financially this current time of life with covid-19 has been for many. We are a small business with limited resources and need to cover our costs so that we can continue to do this work, and serve you, our wonderful community. We have been juggling with the best way to to do this and are very grateful to everyone who has been in touch with ideas of how we can support others. We have come up with a new simple pricing structure for our live streamed and in-person classes. This will give you the option of paying full or half price for drop-in classes, according to what you can afford or buying an unlimited monthly class pass, making the classes much cheaper for anyone wanting to book more than one class each week.
This will allow us to offer free spaces each week for anyone who can’t afford to pay for a class but would love to join.
Class Prices Information can be found on the Class Schedule page.
We hope that this will work for everyone – but we are open to your feedback and any other ideas too.
Thank you for your continued support x
NEWS UPDATE AS OF 01/09/2020 – We are still currently unable to re-open our little yoga space at this time. We will continue to offer all our weekly classes and one-2-one sessions via live streaming and have also added the option of pre-recorded ‘on demand’ classes and technique tutorials via our monthly membership.
Dear everyone,
I hope that you are all keeping well. Thank you to everyone who has continued to connect each week through the online classes and for all your messages of support and suggestions as to what you would like us to offer as we go forwards. We cannot thank everyone enough for what your support means. As ever, the most important thing right now is everyone’s health and safety and with current rules for covid security from both the government and our professional body, we are simply not able to open our space safely and in a way that is also financially viable for the time being. We are reviewing the situation constantly though and looking for ways to offer in-person classes again from early next year hopefully. So in the meantime, we will continue the weekly classes for you all, as live streamed classes so that we can all practice together in real time. We have added more classes and wonderful teachers to the schedule too, and an unlimited monthly pass which hopefully makes these all as accessible as possible to everyone wishing to join us as often as you would like each week. You can see more details and booking information on our Classes Page .
We have also been filming a library of pre-recorded resources, including classes of different lengths, guided relaxations, yoga philosophy, breath awareness practices and technique tutorials for you all. We are aware that not everyone has a reliable internet connection or can make the times of scheduled classes. So being able to explore carefully designed practices from the comfort of your own home, at a time and that works for you, can be really helpful.
You can see more details and booking information on our Online Membership Page or please get in touch if you’d like to discuss options.
NEWS UPDATE AS OF 21/03/2020 – Online classes and one-2-one sessions will be available later on this week
Dear everyone,
I hope that you are all keeping safe and well. These are strange and unsettling times and more than ever, it feels important to keep connected and to support each other in any way that we can. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to us and your kind messages of support. It has meant such a lot. We are all in this together and the most important thing right now is everyone’s health and safety. We have been working out how best to continue the weekly classes for you all, as live streamed classes so that we can all practice together in real time, and are almost there. So watch this space and our regular Classes Page for more information about how to join us later this week
NEWS UPDATE AS OF 17/03/2020 – Classes at the Space suspended until further notice
Dear everyone
In the light of the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as it developing and today’s government announcement, it is with sadness that we have taken the decision to close from today (Tuesday 17th March) until further notice.
All scheduled classes and events will be suspended at this time to prevent the potential spread of the coronavirus in our community.
Your health and wellbeing and that of all of our loved ones and the more vulnerable members of our community is our priority and so we hope that you understand the action that we have taken.
We will be in touch directly in the next few days with everyone who has booked an event or class over the coming weeks. All current class passes will be extended by at least 2 months and longer if necessary so that they will still be valid when we open our doors again and you will have time to use them.
We will be able to offer private yoga sessions (by arrangement) via zoom (an online live streaming application that is free to download) and are also in the process of exploring other ways to keep our practice community connected, including offering live classes each week, so that you can join in from the comfort of your own home. If anyone has any technical expertise in this area, we would also welcome any help.
We will be keeping in touch regularly by email and newsletter (if you haven’t already signed up for our newsletter you can do so using the pop up form on the home page). If you have any questions at all, please get in touch by email. Please bear with us if it takes a little longer than usual to reply to messages at this time as we are dealing with a greater than usual amount of correspondence, but we will definitely get back to you as soon as we can.
These are extraordinary and challenging times for us all. More than ever this is a time to come together and support one another in any way that we can. To quote something that our beautiful friends at Mysore Yoga Paris wrote earlier this week, ‘our physical yoga space may be closed but these times are what our yoga practice has prepared us for, so that we can remain connected to each other with compassion and kindness’
With much love to you all,
Helen and the team at the Space x
NEWS UPDATE AS OF 13/03/2020:
Precautions and New Protocols in the light of the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation:
We would like to reassure you about all that we are doing to maintain a clean and healthy practice space and that we are taking the necessary precautions to protect the health of everyone who comes here. We are also introducing a few additional protocols at this time so that we can all take to keep ourselves and our fellow community members healthy. Please take a moment to read the information below and let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
All class sizes are being reduced to a maximum of 6 people at this time
1-2-1 classes available for up to 3 people by arrangement.
If you are feeling unwell, and especially if you have a new and persisitent cough and or fever, please do not come to class,
for your own well being and that of your fellow students and teachers.
If you suspect that you have coronavirus, please follow NHS advice and guidelines.
We are suspending our current 12 hour cancellation period so you will not lose out if you have to cancel a class
and we will also extend any class passes too, so that you will not lose out, and will be able to use these at a later date.
If you have recently returned from a high risk country or have been in contact with someone who has the virus, please don’t come to practice.
THE PRACTICE SPACE
We have always placed great importance on keeping the practice space clean for you all. The floor is washed between each class and the bathroom is cleaned thoroughly every day. We are also disinfecting all door handles before and after class. We also clean all surfaces, props and equipment routinely and will continue to do so. All our blankets and eye pillow covers are laundered weekly and the bolster covers regularly. However it is not practical to launder these in-between every class, so please bring your own if you would prefer not to use those at the studio.
MATS, BLANKETS AND PROPS
Please bring your own mat and blanket for practice if possible and any props if you have them.
As it is not practical to clean all the props in-between every class, we would like to minimise the use of shared props at this time.
If you do need to borrow a studio mat, please make sure that you wipe it down before practice and afterwards with the mat spray provided.
We would prefer not to use the bolsters at this time, but if you do need to use one, please bring a little pillow case or cover with you to put over the bolster.
HAND WASHING
As an additional precaution, please wash your hands when you arrive before class and after the class.
We have provided individual hand towel napkins which you can keep with you for the duration of the class and then put into the
laundery bag provided afterwards. Alternatively, you may like to bring your own hand towel.
As always, when you arrive for class, please take shoes off by the door before you walk on the practice floor.
HANDS-ON ASSISTS
Our teachers will not be using any hands-on assists at this time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your co-operation and understanding. We love our wonderful yoga community and our little practice space and your health and wellbeing is our priority. We may update this information as the situation develops and any new advice becomes available so please keep an eye on our website and regular newsletters (you can subscribe to the newsletter via the pop-up form on our home page).
